Fortaleza Masterclass at the European Bartender School Amsterdam

Fortaleza del Tequila is a small-batch tequila producer with a story worth telling: a historic hacienda in Jalisco, stone-ground production methods, and a three-generation family behind every bottle. When they brought that story to the European Bartender School in Amsterdam, the room was full of people who actually wanted to hear it. This was a masterclass for an engaged audience β€” bartenders who take spirits seriously and want to understand what they're serving.

The European Bartender School in Amsterdam is itself an interesting venue for an event like this. It's a working school, a professional environment, and the presence of all that bar equipment and spirits knowledge creates a context that reinforces the subject matter. You're not at a marketing event. You're at an education event that happens to have excellent tequila.

I photographed the masterclass with that energy in mind. The focus on the presenter, the attention of the audience, the products themselves β€” and the moments between the formal parts, when people were tasting and talking and debating the relative merits of different expressions. These are the moments that make drinks industry events worth documenting. The knowledge transfers. The connections form. The enthusiasm for craft is visible.

If your brand brings knowledge and craft to the Dutch market and you need photography that captures what that looks like, let's talk.
