Blow is one of Rotterdam's standout hair salons — a place with a strong visual identity, a loyal clientele, and a team that actually looks the part. When they needed team portraits that matched who they are, I came in to document the people behind the brand. Not posed corporate headshots. Real portraits of real people, in their own space, looking like themselves.

Team photography done well is harder than it sounds. The goal is to capture individuals in a way that feels cohesive — a set of images that obviously belong together, without making everyone look like they've been processed through the same filter. For the Blow team, that meant working with the light and character of their Rotterdam salon, letting each person's personality come through, and trusting that the location would do half the work.

Good team photos serve a business in more ways than one. They go on the website and immediately communicate something about who you are. They work on Instagram. They build trust with potential clients before anyone walks through the door. For a salon especially — where the relationship between stylist and client is so personal — having photography that shows real people rather than stock-photo archetypes makes a genuine difference.
