COVID-19 A single mom and entrepreneur.

One day I’m having my birthday party with my friends, hugging strangers in a bar β€” and the next we’re in quarantine. In April 2020, my photography business came to an almost complete stop. My two kids were home, all day, every day. The city I love was suddenly very, very quiet. I did what I always do when things get hard. I documented it.

Okay. Lets’s start out as a collective, WTF?!

One day I’m having my birthday party with my friends and hugging strangers in the bar, the next we are in quarantine and no one can do anything. Cool, it’s fine. Everything is fine. *eyeroll*

Being home with the boys is tiring. Anyone who has kids and tells you that they are having the time of their life is totally bullshitting you. It’s a lot of β€œStop breathing my air!” and β€œDon’t look at meeeeeee.” Super fun stuff. NOT

Now I have both of my kids at home, full time. And my business that has almost stopped because no one can be near each other. Awesome.

So, I do what I do best. Document it. Photography is truly what I love doing and I don’t get to do it for pleasure as often as I like. We took a walk around the city. I photographed my favorite places that I could still go to. I took photos of my kids that hadn’t been outside for two weeks. It was amazing to breathe fresh air again.

The photos of Rotterdam can be bought down below! Thanks so much for supporting my work and my family through COVID!
