Groovy Fluids X Tanqueray Ten World Class

Some events feel different the moment you walk in. When I arrived to photograph the Groovy Fluids x Tanqueray Ten World Class collaboration in Rotterdam, the atmosphere was creative and focused — not competitive. Andre from Groovy Fluids had been invited to create a set of bespoke cocktails specifically for the World Class event, and the energy in the room reflected exactly that: thoughtful, precise, and genuinely excited about what was being made.

Groovy Fluids is one of Rotterdam's most interesting bar concepts, and Andre's approach to drinks is consistently rooted in research and intention. For this collaboration with Tanqueray Ten World Class, he designed the drinks from the ground up — not adapting existing recipes, but building new ones around what Tanqueray Ten actually does best. That clarity of purpose is what made the evening worth documenting.

Tanqueray Ten is made with fresh citrus peels added to every batch, which gives it a brightness and freshness that most gins don't have. Working with it well means understanding what you're amplifying rather than masking. Andre's cocktails for the collaboration leaned into that — using botanicals and citrus-forward ingredients that let the gin's character speak, resulting in drinks that felt both considered and genuinely delicious.

I'm Rachel Ross, a Rotterdam-based photographer specialising in HORECA, branding, and event photography across the Netherlands. Evenings like this — where a bartender has put real creative thought into what they're making and why — are some of my favourite things to document. If you're a bar, brand, or spirits company looking for a photographer who understands the industry, I'd love to work with you.
