True Blue Tattoo Eindhoven Branding
Brand photography for a tattoo studio operates on a different axis than most commercial work. You're not just photographing a space - you're photographing artists and their environment in a way that honours the skill and trust that defines the industry. A good tattoo studio brand session needs to show technical excellence, aesthetic sensibility, and the particular intimacy that happens when someone is literally permanently marking another person's body.
I photographed True Blue Tattoo in Eindhoven with all of that in mind. Tattoo studios need to communicate two things at once: absolute professional cleanliness and genuine creative energy. Too sterile and it feels clinical. Too casual and it might not feel safe. True Blue manages that balance well, and the brand photography needed to make that visible.
What I tried to capture was the concentration required for skilled tattoo work. When you photograph someone doing genuinely skilled work, that focus becomes visible - in the set of the shoulders, the position of the hands, the relationship between the artist and their tool. I photographed True Blue's artists in moments of genuine focus, not posed but actually in the work. These images matter for a tattoo studio's branding because they communicate something impossible to fake: this is someone who takes their work seriously.

I approach brand photography with a documentary sensibility - capturing what's actually happening rather than creating a performance. For craft-based businesses like tattoo studios, that means showing genuine skill and care in ways that feel authentic. Based in Rotterdam, shooting across Eindhoven, Amsterdam, The Hague, and beyond.
